A committee has been formed for implementation of ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’ with Prof.Krishna Samalla as Programme Co coordinator . The Committee in its first meeting held on 22-12-202 shortlisted 5 nearby villages to be adopted by SNIST Under UBA activities.

Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India has launched the national programs called Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), with the Vision to Involve professional and higher educational institutions in the development process of rural areas in the country to achieve sustainable development in better quality of life. Indian Institute of Technology Hauz Khas, New Delhi has been designated to be the National coordinating Institute by the Ministry.
Our Institution Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology and AISHE code C-19951 has agreed to participate in UBA as a Participating Institute (PI), Dr. Krishna Samalla (9705890045), Professor, our institute has been duly authorized in this regard from our side to carry on the activities of UBA in our organisation as Project Coordinator.
Under UBI program every participating Institute is to adopt a cluster of five villages in consultation with district collector. This is to bring to your kind notice that we have proposed the following villages in the Medchal Malkajigiri District.

Activities and Some Initiatives Laid by SNIST

Seminar on UBA Activities
The students of SNIST actively participated atKareemguda Government School. They distributed writing pads, pencils, erasers etc to the students in the school.
Drawing competition was held in which many children came up with beautiful drawings. Many games and competitions were held and the winners were awarded with story books. Team BB narrated moral stories and many healthy tips to the children. Parents of few children were counselled to educate the children beyond tenth class.

Place: Kareemguda and Rampally.
A team of 10 members started “RO project” with the help of advisor Mr.Lakhmi Narayana , Chemistry HOD of SNIST .
They collected water samples from kareemguda and Rampally villages.The main aim of RO project was to establish a Reverse Osmosis Plant in Government schools for water purification.
Drawing and many more competitions were held inorder to bring out the hidden talents among the children and encourage them. The winners of all the competitions were awarded with story books.
Interacted with the students and teachers of the school. The students actively participated in the competitions like singing, dancing etc. The members distributed writing pads, pencils and erasers to the students.
Interacted with villagers of Kareemguda and Rampally bringing awareness among the people about importance of education and eradication of child labour in our country.
Inspection team has participated in PLANTATION PROGRAMME in
Illiteracy.
Aim: Inaugaration of the RO plants in Government schools
The inauguration ceremony of RO Plants was attended by the officials of the village, among them MEO of Pochampally inaugurated the RO PLANT in Pillaipally school and the MEO of Ghatkesar inaugurated the RO plant in Kondapur school.

Books Distribution Government School
Donated books(small scale library with story books,comics,dictionariesetc) and had an interaction with the children by explaining them importance of education.One of the best interactions made till date 🙂 The interesting part was our skit which we have performed for the first time based on importance of education in life.

INTRODUCTION
MAHATMA GANDHI NATIONAL COUNCIL OF RURAL EDUCATION (MGNCRE) in association with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad Organized a day field visit on 14-09-2022 to study and understand the village life style of Amdapur village, Moinabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy Dist, Telangana district.
The Amdapur village is located in the state of TELANGANA having the village code 574273. The area is stretched between Latitudes 17o27’ N and Longitudes 78o29’E covering the total Geographical area of 725 hectares or 7.25 sq kms. The total population of the village Amdapur is 2587 with a total of 620 houses. It is observed that the male and female population is 1365 and 1222 respectively.

Under the guidance of Mr B S C Naveen Kumar, chief co-ordinator of this program all the participants of 40 members are divided into 4 batches with certain roles and responsibilities. Human Resources team, Community meet team, Transect walk team and focus Group teams are formed to observe various parameters of Amdapur village, Moinabad mandal, Ranga Reddy Dist.

One of the teams viz Transect walk Team studied and observed the conditions of water both drinking and agriculture, Sanitation & hygiene aspects, Waste separation and disposal methods, Energy management and Greenary aspects. All the team members interacted with a few villagers of different fields of Amdapur village in the shape of S and observed the following:
Water Management
• The agriculture sector of Amdapur is depending on groundwater through Borewells. About 300 to 350 agriculture borewells are yielding 800-1000GPH water for cultivation. Paddy, flowers (chrysanthemum, kenware, roses) vegetables are the main crops in the village
• Drinking water is providing by the Gram Panchayat under Mission Bhagiratha scheme to all the houses on daily basis for 30 to 40 minitues.
• The overhead tanks of 3 numbers are filled everyday to meet the needs of village people and cleaning of the same is taken up for every 15 days. Chlorination process is also taken up from time to time.
• Waste water is diverted to nearby fields and maintained free water logging
• Two water ponds are filled with water during monsoon
period
• A small river called Pedda vagu is passing through Amdapur village and connecting to Himayatsagar reservoir.
Agriculture Land Usage
• Out of 600 acres of land, only 150 – 200 acres of agriculture land is in usage. Various types of soils viz., BC soil, Red soils and Morrum soils are identified. BC soil is meant for paddy cultivation while flowers and vegetables are growing in red soil. Morrum soil is not in use.
• Drip irrigation is observed at places where water yield is identified as less. Vegetables and flowers are grown under drip irrigation system.
• Soils tests are carried out by Professor Acharya Agriculture University Scientists whenever the village people needed.
• Paddy , vegetables, flowers are selling regularly at Gudimalkapur market which is located at a distance of 22 kms.
• Organic manure is to be prepared and implemented
• Farmers assembling for new crops is also to be implemented.
• Agriculture people are to be involved in agriculture Crops exhibition.
Greenary Management
• The entire village Amdapur is covered with a good greenary.. Palle Pakrithi Vanam is identified in the centre of the village with 4000 plants. Rs 60000 is invested on this greenary with the support of Mahatma Gandhi National Village Employment Scheme. Total plantation is covered in 1132 days by Amdapur village in 2020.
• Plantation is also noticed in the premises of primary and Zilla Parishat schools.

Waste Management
Amdapur is a small village in Moinabad mandal has a gram Panchayat office with a sarpanch (smt Burgu Ravali Gopi Krishna Reddy), vice-sarpanch (sri vadla Nagarjuna Chari), MPTC (sri Sama Ravinder Reddy), Nine ward members and Secretary (sri J Shiva Kumar) and functioning effectively with a proper maintenance of CC roads, school buildings and executing government schemes of ration supply, pension scheme for elders crossed 60 years of age, etc..
Grama Panchayat workers collecting house hold wastage and other garbages on everyday from houses, wastage pits and finally transferring to a dumping yard. CC roads are seen very neatly without any plastic covers and maintaining the village premises from free incineration. However, the internal roads are to be strengthened by CC roads in place of gravel roads.

Conclusions:
• Followed the checklist and noted the findings
• Water distribution, supply to the houses, cleaning, chlorinization etc are good
• Waste is collected systematically by the Panchayat staff and transferring to dump yard on daily. The village is made free from incineration
• Greenary is well maintained
• Sanitation & hygiene aspects are good
• CC roads are clean and good however, gravel roads are to be improved in the village
• Afternoon meal is providing to the children regularly. In addition, banana and egg are providing twice in a day
• Agriculture includes mainly paddy, vegetables, flowers and depending on borewells and rainfall
• Overall the village Amdapur is good in most of the aspects
