With a steady growth rate in placements every year, SNIST is delivering a creative and skilled workforce to the corporate sectors. We facilitate students to make rewarding careers unleashing their fullest potential. These are the placement figures as of 31st March 2022 and the recruitments are still going strong.
Sreenidhi institute of Science & Technology, Hyderabad is honored to have hosted the regional meet of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) on August 12, 2022 in collaboration with the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The objective of the meet was to foster innovation and entrepreneurship culture among the students. More than 525 faculty representatives from over 135 IIC institutions from the South Sero Region (Telangana) took part in the meet to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs). About 65 IIC posters were also exhibited during the meet and more than 130 innovations were demonstrated along with 4 Parallel Knowledge sharing sessions on various innovative topics.
Addressing the audience, Chief Guest Sri Navin Mittal, IAS, and Commissioner of Collegiate Education, highlighted the role of mentors in moulding the students towards build startups and drive entrepreneurship. Then, the Guest of Honour, Shri Dipan Sahu, Asst. Innovation Director – MIC, stated the importance of the ecosystem, in nurturing the students towards creating startups and empowering innovations. Afterwards, Dr. Purushottam Ramchandra Patil, Regional Officer & Assistant Director, SCRO, AICTE, highlighted the significance and opportunities of HEIs in the development of entrepreneurial activities and role of faculties in guiding, supporting, and motivating the students towards innovation and startups.
After the inaugural session, more than 30 regional ecosystem enablers including incubators, state agencies, and startups were part of the round table discussion to strengthen their relation with educational institutions. Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments of the Telangana government was the dignified Keynote Speaker of the session. He discussed about opportunities available in startup the state’s ecosystem. He said that Telangana is one place where all major high-quality incubation centers including IIIT-Hyderabad are located and urged everyone to utilize the resources to further strengthen the ecosystem.
Next session of the meet started with two orientation sessions addressed by Shri Dipan Sahu, Asst. Innovation Director, MoE’s Innovation Cell & AICTE, Govt. of India, on IIC model through quality participation of HEIs, and policy awareness and advocacy session on I&E initiatives of MIC and AICTE. He discussed about other initiatives of MoE like Mentor Mentee, Kapila program, ARIIA & YUKTI repository portal also. The afternoon sessions were divided into four technical sessions - creating and sustaining the I&E Ecosystem; Visualizing and Developing action plans for I&E Ecosystem in HEIs; Benchmarking, Measuring I&E Ecosystem in HEIs and Impact creation and IP and Technology transfer.
The Valedictory session was presided by Mr.K.Abhijit Rao, CEO, SNIST, along with the guests of honor - Shri Dipan Sahu, Asst. Innovation Director –MOE’s Innovation Cell, and Udyan Maurya, Startup Fellow-MoE. The Hon’ble CEO distributed the participation certificates to the five best posters exhibited in the event. Further, he distributed the prizes with regard to startup idea pitch competition, held on June 24th and 25th, 2022, in Sreenidhi Ascend.
The event was wrapped up with the announcement and recognition of five best posters exhibited in the event. The IIC regional meet has been concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Udyan Maurya, Startup Fellow-MoE where he expressed his heartfelt thanks to each one who participated in the Regional Meet.
Finally, SNIST management congratulated the IIC team members- Dr. Shruti Bhargava Choubey President-IIC,Dr. K. Harinadh-Convener-IIC, Dr. A. Sandhya Rani – Startups Coordinator, Dr.N.Divya –IPR Coordinator & all organizing committee members for the grand success of the program. Dr.C.V.Tomy, Director SNIST & Dr.T.Ch.Siva Reddy, Principal, SNIST, were also present at the event.
