The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) was established in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI). In 1968, it was reconstituted as the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) to expand its scope and activities in advancing technological education in India.
ISTE collaborates with various government bodies such as the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Information Technology (MIT), and State Governments to promote technical education and innovation.
At SREENIDHI, every student is an integral member of the ISTE-SNIST Student Chapter, which serves as a robust platform for enhancing technical expertise across diverse domains.

SNIST Events
The club promotes students to involve in organizing events and engagement activities. ISTE SNIST chapter has been created over the past few years. ISTE SNIST has conducted quite a few technical events over the years to give students the benefit of learning and gaining experience that is warranted as they enter the work sphere later on. Sreevision – Sreevision, being heralded as one of the most renowned and celebrated fests among the umpteen College fests in the state. The events are for students from other colleges as well to foster healthy competition and exposure among all students alike. It is a technical, literary, and cultural consortium that has drawn large numbers over the years.

Sreevision
SREEVISION, the annual fest of SNIST, was launched in 2009 by the ISTE-SNIST Chapter. It is a premier event that blends technical competitions, cultural activities, and non-technical events, offering students a platform to showcase their talents and creativity. A major highlight is MIRTH, the intercollege cultural night, where students participate in music, dance, drama, and more, fostering creativity and enthusiasm. This fest plays a vital role in the holistic development of students, combining technical expertise with artistic expression and teamwork.
The ISTE-SNIST Chapter is committed to promoting holistic human excellence, ensuring students grow both professionally and personally. As SNIST’s annual fest, SREEVISION has become a hub for innovation, collaboration, and talent, attracting participants from across the state and leaving a lasting impact on all involved. By bringing together diverse student chapters, the Open House encourages cross-institutional collaboration, enabling participants to learn from each other’s experiences, share best practices, and explore new opportunities for growth.
