IEEE Society
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
IEEE SNIST is the only international student chapter at SNIST, having 100+ volunteers and 20 executive board members. The club aims at bringing forward international standard technical workshops to the students of SNIST. IEEE SNIST organises an annual techno management fest- ADASTRA, having a variety of events from technical to pandemonium events. IEEE SNIST also organises an international level conference – WIE Conferencia, which aims at finding solutions to various problems and issues faced globally. The club has 2 societies – “THE POWER AND ENERGY SOCIETY” and “COMPUTER SOCIETY”.
ISTE
Indian Society for Technical Education
ISTE which stands for INDIAN SOCIETY OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION first started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into “Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technological education. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE / DST /MIT / State Govts. are well associated with the ISTE for programs relating to technical education. Coming to ISTE-SNIST, every student of SREENIDHI is a part of ISTE-SNIST. It provides a good platform for the students to improve technical knowledge in various fields.
