About Department
Department of Information Technology is established in 1997 with a view of providing quality education in professional core and multi-disciplinary areas. The UG intake is 240 apart from PG program (CNIS) with 24 seats . Department of IT is strong in research activity especially in the areas like Data Analytics/Information Security/AI/ML/IOT/Deep learning etc. The Department has 14 Ph.D. holders and 10 faculty pursuing Ph.D. The department has been accredited by NBA-AICTE and NAAC. The Department periodically organizes sponsored FDP/STTP. Department of IT has been recognized as Authorized Academy by PALO ALTO Networks by Cyber security.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO 1
PEO 1:Ā Graduates will have a strong fundamentals in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer science by which they acquire abilities to analyze, design and develop an optimal solutions using modern tools which helps them to be employable.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:
1. Engineering knowledge
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
2. Problem Analysis
Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Design/development of solutions
Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems
Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
5. Modern tool usage
Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

- Industrial Visit
Industrial visit to NRSC Hyderabad Shadnagar. The centre acquires Earth Observation data from Indian remote-sensing satellites as well as from different foreign satellites.
