ISTE which stands for INDIAN SOCIETY OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION first started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into "Indian Society for Technical Education" in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technological education. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE/DST/MIT/State Govts. are well associated with the ISTE for programs relating to technical education. Coming to ISTE-SNIST, Every student of SREENIDHI is a part of ISTE-SNIST.ISTE-SNIST provides a good platform for the students to improve technical knowledge in various fields.

Organizing skills along with entrepreneurship skills and management skills.The objectives of ISTE that has taken a place in SNIST are:

- This is a place, where in we can develop ourselves in all the aspects, required to cope up with the competition in the global market.
- We are nurtured here to develop ourselves as good ENTERPRENUERS.

This event consists of logical questions which improves the lateral thinking of the students and helps them to think analytically. We have received a great response from the students. About 79 teams (of two people each) have participated in Brain Booster. As always, students love novelty and participated in the event with great joy.
In collaboration with IEEE-SNIST, ISTE-SNIST has conducted Photoshop sessions for all the students to improve their technical skills. It helped a lot to the students who are interested in designing. Many students took an active participation in the Photoshop sessions. Assignments were given to the students after every session.
Web Designing Session
ISTE-SNIST had taken up a series of sessions on web designing which commenced from 11th Feb, 2016. Students from all the branches showed keen interest in attending the sessions. So far, the topics covered are HTML & CSS. Assignments are given to the students after every session. As a part of this exceptionally good web pages are being designed by the students.
Sreevision, being heralded as one of the most renowned and celebrated fests among the umpteen college fests in the state, is testimony to the impact the ISTE SNIST chapter has created over the past few years. ISTE in SNIST has conducted quite a few technical events over the years to give students the benefit of learning and gaining experience that is warranted as they enter the work sphere later on. And to take it to the next level, Sreevision has been extended to students from other colleges as well to foster healthy competition and exposure among all students alike. It is a technical, literary, cultural, robotics and sports consortium that has drawn large numbers over the years. In this edition of Sreevision, we have a host of events to cater to a large variety of skill-sets of students.
